Grayling Yarborough, MHA

Grayling Yarbrough, MHA, brings extensive operational and strategic expertise in population health management and alternative payment models, with a proven track record across provider networks, provider-sponsored health plans, and hospital systems.

Grayling began his role as Senior Director of Banner Employer Solutions, a new service line in Banner Health in August of 2019. Grayling brings deep operational and strategic experience in population health management and alternative payment models across Hospitals, Provider Networks, and Provider Sponsored Health Plans.

Having worked in leadership positions within Accountable Care Organizations (ACO) and Clinically Integrated Networks, Health System Strategy and Operations; and even starting a Provider Sponsored Health Plan, Grayling has developed a very unique skill set in Population Health.

Grayling was a part of founding a Provider Sponsored Health Plan that provides both Medicare Advantage and Commercial products. He also started and led a Medicare ACO that operated across three states and achieved shared savings. Additionally, he has had the opportunity to work with major commercial payers on fee for value-based reimbursement in both metropolitan and rural communities.

Grayling has an MHA degree from the University of Kentucky and a BA from Eastern Michigan University. He is an active member of the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE) and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). It is this connection to NAHSE where he learned of the impact of diversity in the workplace and these insights are just part of the contribution he hopes to bring to the African/Black American Team Member Resource Group.
