NAHSE Expands Leadership Pathways Through Korn Ferry Foundation Partnership

NAHSE and the Korn Ferry Foundation are expanding access for NAHSE members to Leadership U for Humanity, a fully funded leadership development experience designed to prepare high-potential professionals for the next stage of their careers.

What the program offers

Developed by Korn Ferry for the Korn Ferry Charitable Foundation, Leadership U for Humanity was created to help close opportunity gaps by equipping high-potential professionals with tools, coaching and experiences that build leadership capability over time. The program is offered at no cost to accepted participants, removing a financial barrier that often limits access to executive development.

  • Six months of structured leadership development
  • Live virtual learning sessions
  • Personalized career coaching and mentorship
  • Leadership assessments and self-discovery tools
  • Peer learning and national networking opportunities
  • Korn Ferry Advance, a career development platform for ongoing growth

Who it serves

Through the partnership, NAHSE identifies and nominates high-potential members who demonstrate leadership promise and a commitment to growth. The program now supports multiple career stages.

  • Early to mid-career professionals: typically 4 to 15 years of experience and/or 3 to 7 years of leadership experience.
  • Mid to senior-career professionals: typically 15 to 30 years of experience and/or 7 to 15 years of leadership experience, progressing toward executive roles.

Accepted participants should plan for a commitment of approximately nine hours per month over six months, combining live sessions, coaching and independent learning.

“Leadership is rarely built in isolation.”

Why it matters for healthcare

Leadership development is often postponed in healthcare, where professionals are balancing demanding roles, teams and communities. NAHSE describes the partnership as an investment in the future healthcare executives, innovators and decision-makers who will shape systems, influence policy and lead organizations, and as a direct extension of its mission to advance representation and expand pathways into healthcare leadership.
