About the role
The Director, Compliance is responsible for directing and implementing the CHRISTUS Health compliance program in the designated region and ministry. In collaboration with system and regional leadership, the Director plans, designs, implements and maintains the compliance program, promotes the highest standards of ethical conduct, and assesses and mitigates compliance risk.
The position requires collaboration with system leadership and periodic travel to various facilities. Schedule: 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday.
What you'll do
- Serve as the compliance expert and advisor to regional leadership on compliance and ethical business practices
- Lead the regional compliance committee and provide updates to the regional board
- Conduct compliance investigations involving Anti-Kickback, Stark, EMTALA and other state and federal healthcare laws
- Recommend corrective actions and monitor implementation of corrective action plans
- Conduct continuous risk assessments and maintain the annual Compliance Work Plan
- Partner with the CHRISTUS legal team on interpretation and education on compliance laws and regulations
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare or related field required; Master's preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, privacy, auditing, regulatory affairs, law or related areas
- Experience leading a compliance program in a large, complex organization
- Experience handling complex compliance and privacy investigations
- CHC certification preferred within first 12 months
