About the role
The Manager, Quality & Patient Safety assumes daily organizational management of the quality and patient safety program focused on reducing variation, reducing risk and improving quality. Using a data-driven approach, the role identifies opportunities for risk mitigation and improvements aligned with strategic initiatives, and manages Quality and Patient Safety staff in their day-to-day performance.
Department: Quality Patient Safety. Shift: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8a to 5p. Job type: Onsite.
What you'll do
- Lead the Quality and Patient Safety program using system design, project management, quality improvement science and statistical analysis
- Manage the organizational safety culture program and cause analysis for all event investigation types
- Maintain the event reporting system and use its data to track and monitor trends across the organization
- Interpret and present findings to hospital and medical staff committees
- Assist the Director and Senior Director with strategy and vision for Quality and Patient Safety initiatives
- Mentor, grow and develop staff, including succession planning
What you bring
- At least 7 years of experience in a healthcare or clinical environment required
- At least 5 years of leadership experience or equivalent preferred
- BSN in Nursing required
- Master's degree preferred
- Registered Nurse license preferred
