Aretha A. Avant, MBA, is a senior healthcare executive whose leadership has shaped the development, growth, and performance of health plans across complex and highly regulated environments. Her career spans enterprise strategy, operations, provider strategy, market expansion, and organizational transformation, with a reputation for translating bold vision into disciplined execution and meaningful impact across healthcare.
For more than two decades in healthcare, Aretha has built a distinguished Healthcare career leading growth, transformation, and complex ideas into high-performing health plan operations. Her leadership spans Medicaid, Medicare, and Marketplace programs, with broad experience across health plan development, enterprise operations, provider strategy, claims, contracting, systems, regulatory readiness, and organizational transformation.
Throughout her career, she has led major initiatives spanning health plan development, new business, line-of-business launches, enterprise system implementations, market expansion, and significant organizational growth and change. Her ability to connect strategy with execution has enabled her to strengthen operating models, build high-performing teams, align cross-functional priorities, and establish the infrastructure organizations need to perform and grow. Aretha is equally passionate about people and community. She believes leadership is not only about delivering results, but also about creating opportunity, developing future leaders, and leaving organizations and communities stronger.
