About Gina
Gina M. Griffin, FACHE is a healthcare operations executive with more than 34 years of experience leading complex adult and pediatric clinical and support operations, advancing financial and operational performance, and driving strategic growth. Her leadership spans service-line development, capital planning, patient experience, workforce engagement, and operational transformation. A committed developer of people and leaders, she creates environments where diverse perspectives are heard and valued, innovation is encouraged, and teams are empowered to create meaningful impact.
Gina has built a healthcare career spanning adult and pediatric care, progressing from clinical practice into increasingly complex operational and executive leadership. She began her career in adult healthcare as a nuclear medicine technologist and quickly moved into leadership, later managing a cardiology practice where she gained firsthand experience across clinical care, workforce management, financial operations, and the business of healthcare. In 2001, she transitioned to pediatric healthcare, advancing through progressively broader leadership roles at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Children’s Health.
Today, Gina serves as Vice President of Operations at Children’s Health, leading a broad portfolio of clinical and support services and partnering across the organization to advance strategic priorities, operational performance, innovation, and growth. Her experience spans financial stewardship, service-line development, capital planning, patient experience, workforce engagement, and complex organizational transformation. She is known for connecting strategy to execution while building the leadership capacity needed to sustain results.
Gina’s leadership continues to evolve through a commitment to adaptive leadership, collaboration, and investing in people. Her Advisory Board Fellowship deepened her understanding of individual strengths and the importance of cultivating leaders, creating space for diverse perspectives, and empowering others to contribute to innovation and organizational impact. She believes the strongest organizations create environments where people are trusted to lead, challenged to grow, and connected to a purpose greater than themselves.
Outside of work, Gina is an active community volunteer and board leader who enjoys investing in the next generation through education, mentorship, and service. She values time with her family, traveling, and gathering people around good food, believing that meaningful impact is built through relationships, presence, and a willingness to invest in others.
