About Kia

Kia Abron, M.A., CCC-SLP, MBA, is a healthcare operations and transformation leader who currently serves as Program Director, Clinical Operations & Transformation at Children’s Health, bringing a clinician’s perspective to complex operational challenges and system-level improvement.

Kia has more than a decade of experience spanning pediatric clinical care, operational excellence, strategy, and healthcare administration. She began her career as a speech-language pathologist and spent eight years at Children’s Health, developing expertise in complex pediatric care while also serving as a clinical mentor, supervisor, and employee engagement leader.

After earning her MBA from the SMU Cox School of Business, Kia was selected for the Christopher J. Durovich Administrative Fellowship at Children’s Health. The fellowship expanded her work into healthcare operations, strategy, performance improvement, patient flow and capacity, access, and organizational leadership. She now serves as Program Director, Clinical Operations & Transformation for the Dallas market, where she helps translate clinical and operational priorities into measurable, sustainable improvement.

Kia also serves as Communications Chair for NAHSE Dallas-Fort Worth, supporting the chapter’s communications strategy, member engagement, visibility, and efforts to strengthen the pipeline of diverse healthcare leaders across North Texas.

A Detroit native, Kia is passionate about mentorship, community, and creating opportunities for emerging healthcare leaders. She is especially committed to helping clinicians and professionals from nontraditional leadership pathways recognize the value of the perspectives they bring to healthcare administration.
